Matilda (Place) Casey was born in Middlesex, England.

Matilda (Place) Casey was born in 1859 in St Luke, Middlesex, England, United Kingdom. Her parents were Henry William Place (~1833 - 1919) and Esther Ann Bartomeg (Glover) Place (~1836 - 1913).[1]

Matilda (Place) Casey came free to the Colony of New South Wales (1788-1900)

In 1874 Matilda emigrated with her family to Australia as 'assisted migrants'. They travelled on the ship 'St James'.[2]

Matilda married James Edward Casey (1856 - 1939) in 1881 in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia.[3]

Matilda died on 21 Sep 1912 in Port Melbourne, Victoria aged ~53.[4]
