PIKE—STEVENS.—On the 28th October, at the Baptist Church. Flinders-street, Adelaide, by the Rev. J. H. Sexton, George Pike, of Gumeracha, to Elizabeth Florence Puddock Stevens, daughter of Mr. Edward Stevens, Golden Grove, and grand-daughter of the late John Stevens, Hackney

George died in 1944, aged 82, at Norwood, SA. [3] He was buried in Magill Methodist General Cemetery (with his wife) [4] A short orbituary was published in the local paper, Chronicle (Adelaide, SA : 1895 - 1954) Thu 9 Nov 1944 Page 2 OBITUARY [5]

Mr, George Pike, of Chapel street, Magill, who died recently, was born at Gumeracha in 1862, and lived in Magill district for 55 years. He was well known as a shearer in the north in his early days.
