Biography
Jesse was born in 1918. He is the son of Emmit Pettit and Minnie Peters. [1]

KENNETH, Attorney-at-Law, 404 North Franklin Street, Manchester, born Dunlap, December 5, 1918, son of Charles E. and Minnie V. (Peters) Pettit. He graduated from Logan High School in 1927; graduated from the State University of Iowa with a B.A. degree in 1941; served as a captain in the United States Marine Corps, Pacific Theater, 1941 to January, 1946; took a J.D. degree at the State University of Iowa in 1948. He commenced the general practice of law in Manchester in 1948, which has has continued to the present date; May, 1949, entered legal partnership with Harlan J. Williamson, Manchester. He is also city attorney, member of the Delaware County and Iowa State bar associations, Library Board, Soldiers Relief Committee, Lions Club, American Legion and Knights of Pythias. Politically, he is a Republican. His religious affiliation is with the Congregational Church. Hobbies: golf, hunting and sports..married, Des Moines, January 8, 1946, Roseanne Jean Allan, daughter of Graham and Anna (Hedburg) Allan. Child: Suzanne Pettit.
