Edward was born in 1859. He is the son of James Pettit and Mary Murphy.[1]
On 7 January 1884 he married Rachel Hannah Wheeler in St Luke Church, Adelaide. She was 20 years old (daughter of Henry Wheeler) and Edward was 22 years old (son of Frederick James Pettit) They were both single when married[2]
He passed away in 1941[3]
