Lidie, daughter of Abram & Marianne Isabelle Bourquin, was born in 1819 and baptised on 30 January 1820 in Saint-Imier, Berne, Suisse.[1]
Lydia Perret (age 2) arrived in Canada in 1821 with her parents, Abram, Marianne and her sisters, Sophie and Marianne. [2]
Research Notes
In a history of Saint Paul, MN her father Abraham is described as one of the heads of families that were removed by military action from a Wisconsin Territory settlement. On 6 May 1840 the settlers on the reserve were "dishoused and driven off, and every cabin within the lines destroyed."
[3]
Further on in the account, Abraham's family is recorded. His son Charles and each daughter, except Lydia is recorded along with whom they married. The same children are mentioned in another history of Saint Paul. So it might be assumed that Lydia died sometime between her arrival and before 1840.
There are other records for a Lydia Perry, but none that confirm her as being the daughter of Abraham Perret.
