Thomas Sergeant Perry was born on January 23, 1845, in Newport, Rhode Island. He married Lydia "Lilla" Jackson Cabot on April 9, 1874, in Boston, Massachusetts. They had three children during their marriage. He died on May 7, 1928, in Boston, Massachusetts, at the age of 83, and was buried in Hancock, New Hampshire.
