Biography

Charles Pentz was one of 10 children out of the marriage of Johan Frederik Pentz and Helena Aletta Jacoba Martin.^[1]

When Peter Charles Pentz was born on April 18, 1879, in Wellington, Western Cape, South Africa, his father, Johan, was 25 and his mother, Helena, was 24. He married Heilie Magdalena Oosthuizen on December 2, 1916. They had at least one child during their marriage. He died on February 8, 1972, in Pretoria, Gauteng, South Africa, at the age of 92, and was buried there.
