Thank you for the welcome and for some direction. I had looked at the 1700 site over the weekend and was a little uncertain as to where I might best start. My particular focus is a group of Penningtons (and associated families) in pre-1800 Virginia. When I get time I will look more into the group possibilities for my research.

I see that in your introduction that you are looking for some information. May I suggest that you post it in our G2G forum? It will be seen by a lot more members there. You have a much better chance of finding the information that you are looking for. There is always a lot of members in G2G that are willing to help or share information. It is very active you may just want to look around and see what happens in there.
