Biography

Frank was born in 1927. He was the son of Homer Peeples and Marie Purse. He passed away in 2021.

• He particpated in the US army during the intervention that became known as the Korean War. On returing home he joined the Stevens Shipping Co., rising to become president. He moved on to build a long and formidable career in the shipping sector. During a period of rapid change in the logistics sector he became noted for his inventive vision and entrepreneural flair. He represented several West German and German shipping lines and was rewarded by the German government with a posting as a German Honorary Consul;, a role he combined with his more domestically focused business activities for more than 30 years. His obituary (cited below) stated in 2021 that he was "remembered for his kindness, strength, and humor ..... thoughtful and caring, [he] loved his family beyond measure.
