Dorothy P. Ennis - SAVANNAH - Dorothy Lee Peeples Ennis, 83, of Savannah, Georgia, wife of John Ralph Ennis, Jr., died Thursday afternoon, March 24, 2011, at Savannah Square. She was born in Varnville, South Carolina, the tenth child of Virginia Cope Peeples and Joseph Peeples. She worked as a secretary at Union Bag Paper Company until her marriage to John R. Ennis, Jr. in 1946. She was a dedicated wife to her husband and a loving mother to her children and grandchildren. Her life was filled with love and elegance and she will be sorely missed by her family and friends. She is survived by her husband, John R. Ennis, Jr.; two sons, John R. Ennis III and his wife, Bonita, and Robert J. Ennis and his wife, Alyce, and one daughter, Linda Ann Ennis; and four grandchildren, Daniel, Austin, Calin and Hanna. A private graveside funeral service was held Friday afternoon, March 25, 2011, at Bonaventure Cemetery conducted by Father John J. Lyons.
