Hi Jennifer, I am also a descendant of Buhler-31. My father was born in Tryon NC, the son of Peeler-1240. It looks like you and Julie have done a lot of work here. Somewhere, floating around in my family, is a book that was written by my great uncle Odell tracing our branch of the family back to Johann Buhler from Germany. I'd love to find that book. It might answer some questions I've seen in the lineage here. One of the things that's always been a mystery to us is our grandmother (some BS story about a Cherokee Princess that we were told as kids). Now, thanks to Wikitree I found my grandmother and my great grandparents. Thanks for your hard work!

Please correct the spelling of the birth name for [Nealand-5|Robert Nealand]. The correct spelling should be Neelands. See his biography. Also, the last name at birth for his wife [Unknown-242160|Margaret Unknown] should be Caldwell not unknown. See her biographical information.

Did you ever make it to the holy trinity lutheran church? Is so is Johann's grave marked? I really want to see for myself but i am one of many S.C. Peeler's so thats a long for possibly nothing. Great work btw!

I appreciate the message. There are some things that are the same for Peeler-407 and Peeler-1037. The birth date for both is the same and they both died in Rowan Co. NC but the death dates are different(by only 2 years)The parents are different, Peeler-1037 lists parents as Anthony Peeler and Anna Marie Ebele. He did have a brother named Anthony but not a sister named Margaretha. Right now it doesn't look like a match but if either of us find more information they could possibly be the same. Thanks again!
