Obituary
Funeral services for John Howard Peck, 81, who died at 4:30 p.m. Thursday at his home, 111 N. Cherry St., after an extended illness, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Parson Mortuary by Dr. A. Wesley Pugh, pastor of High Street Methodist Church. Burial will be in Park View Cemetery at Alexandria. The body has been removed from the mortuary to the home where friends may call.
Born in Madison County, Mr. Peck had lived in Muncie for 17 years. He was a retired employee of the Muncie Gear Company, and was a member of High Street Methodist Church.
Surviving are the widow, Nancy; three sons, Jesse Peck of Springfield, Ohio, Wilber Peck of West Liberty, Ohio, and Howard Peck of Muncie; a daughter, Mrs. Lela Hopper of Indianapolis; a brother, A.M. Peck of Alexandria; 16 grandchildren, and a great-grandchild.
