Isaac was born in 1835. Isaac was the son of Moses Peaslee and Mary Darling Messer. His mother died shortly after his birth and his father following five years later. Custody of Isaac was granted to Isaac Cone.^[1][2]

He was married, in 1855, to Laura King.^[3][4][5]

"Mr. Peaslee has lived n Sterling continually since 1853, with the exception of one year, 1872, when he went to Crawford county and purchased a farm and lived there one year; then returned to the old homestead where he has since resided. Mrs. Peaslee was the first school teacher on West Prairie."^[14]

Isaac passed away in 1888.
