Since there are DNA matches on the profiles, including yours, I would suggest looking at those closely, to see if they really are from the same family. Otherwise, I don't see anything in the profiles as sources to prove that the two Jesse Payne "fathers" are really the same man, or that one or both of them married Rebecca Crenshaw to father John Charles Payne and then settle 40 miles away.
This is a Presidential Ancestor connection through Barack Obama, so I would be a lot more cautious about connecting what seems to be only wishful parents.
