We're very active on our social sites and we have an excellent blog where you'll find our monthly newsletter as well as tips, interviews with our members and guest posts from others in the genealogy community. And we're always looking for volunteers to assist in different ways.
As always, I'm here to help if you have any questions!
If you have not already done so, please set your preferences for your Tags Followed to include Smith and any other tag terms that are of interest to you: http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Special:Following
As you add your profiles and connect to the WikiTree, you may find cousins you never expected. Use the Relationship calculator to see if you are related to me, Cooper-1 with http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Special:Relationship
You are now a confirmed member of WikiTree! Thank you for volunteering and don't forget to read and sign the Honor Code.
Wow!!! You're the 2,989th Patton profile on Wikitree! I bet your 'cousins' already here will benefit from your insightful collaboration, sourced research and first-hand knowledge.
Have fun and ask for help if you need it! WikiTree members are always eager to offer guidance to a fellow genealogist.
If you need additional help, our Mentors Project is a friendly group of volunteers who are glad to assist with WikiTree-specific problems.
The initial email from us has helpful links that get you started on WikiTree, which is not like any genealogy site youve ever used.
WikiTree is different because our goal is to have one profile per person, and that means we all work together as a BIG collaborative team!
What brings you to WikiTree? Do you have research youd like to share? Are you interested in how your family fits into the big tree? When you confirm your email address, youll have an opportunity to Volunteer and tell us about your genealogical interests.
