Digital Advance Directive

I recently saw WikiTree's page on this subject and since I have now started adding numerous profiles of my extended family to WikiTree, it makes some sense to include this statement. I am 74 at this date and expect to be around for some years to come (I hope) ... I've still a lot of genealogy research left to do ... but no one knows when their time may be up, especially today. While I don't have very many "private" profiles as most are of deceased people, I do not wish for any to be deleted. So at such point that I may be unable to be contacted (possibly deceased or otherwise incapacitated) I authorize WikiTree to transfer management of any of my profiles to anyone willing to look after them. I have no descendants or any immediate family that would have the interest to do that. Pattison-399 -- July 2023

Hi Richard. If you are a Mayflower descendant, please consider taking the Big Y 700 DNA test at FamilyTreeDNA and joining the MayflowerDNA Project. You can automatically share your results and they will link you to a matching lineage. More participants will lead to better results for the entire group. I did mine in November and got the results JAN09. I landed in the Edward Fuller, Samuel, John group. Thanks for considering! Kevin Fuller

Hello, RIchard!

Congratulations on certifying to work on pre-1700 profiles! It’s very important to read and understand the Help:Pre-1700 Profiles page. These profiles for deep ancestors are shared by many, and collaborating on them works best if we all follow the guidelines in the certification quiz.

Primary sources should always be added to pre-1700 profiles at the time they are created. If you don't have a source for a pre-1700 profile, it would be best to ask for help in the G2G forum before creating the profile.

Hi,

The Global Cemeteries Project is currently undergoing our member check-in and wanted to verify that you are still active and interested in being a member of the project. Are you currently assigned to or working with one of our Cemetery Teams? If not, is there a particular Team or area you are interested in participating with? I would be delighted to help you get setup in one or more of our collaborative teams!

We use Google Groups for internal project collaboration, so if you are not yet setup for access feel free to submit a join request and we will get that approved as quick as possible. We also ask that members check their followed tags to make sure you are following the correct project tag (CEMETERIES) so you don't miss any discussions in G2G.

Last, but not least, we would like to thank you for all of your contributions to WikiTree and let you know that any ideas or suggestions for improvement you may have for the Global Cemeteries Project would greatly appreciated!

I look forward to hearing form you soon!

Richard, you are now a member of WikiTree! Please help us build one Collaborative Global Family Tree, which means only one profile per person. It's important that no duplicates are created and profiles are properly sourced.

If you have pre-1700's ancestors to add please read our Pre-1700 profiles info.

To help you get started, view this introductory WikiTree video.

We also have Mentors who will be glad to answer questions.

Thanks for volunteering and welcome to the Tree!
