Communication Preferences:
I am interested in communicating with
anyone who shares the same ancestors.
My family tree is here on WikiTree but it's private.
That I am an experienced amateur genealogist. I have been doing it since 2005, mainly online. I began my Passmore line first, then from 2010 onwards have done a lot of my maternal lines, back to the 1700s. This is still a work in progress, and I enjoy adding ancestors to my tree rather than descendants, unless there is something interesting, like a prominent distant cousin, or distant cousins in America, Canada, and Australia. I am willing to help people as best as I can, though I still have a lot of brick walls too. I am looking forward to meeting and collaborating with distant cousins.
The United Kingdom was not used until 1801 so when adding profiles before then please don't use UK or United Kingdom in the birth, marriage or death locations. When UK or United Kingdom is added to the BMD location field before 1801 it creates an error that needs to be fixed.
Congratulations on certifying to work on pre-1700 profiles! It’s very important to read and understand the Pre-1700 Profiles page. These profiles for deep ancestors are shared by many, and collaborating on them works best if we all follow the guidelines in the certification quiz.
Primary sources should always be added to pre-1700 profiles at the time they are created. If you don't have a source for a pre-1700 profile, it would be best to ask for help in the G2G forum before creating the profile.
