Cornelia (Park) Mero is a part of US Black heritage.
Cornelia Park was born about 1854 in Vermont. She was the child of Roxana Lewis Hazard and Civil War veteran Henry Park(s) of the famous 54th Massachusetts Volunteer Infantry.
She was the wife of Thomas Mero, the niece of Civil War veterans Austin and James Hazard of the same regiment as her father, and the sister-in-law of Civil War veterans Andrew, Charles and Sylvester Mero, also of the same regiment as her father.
She died in 1930[1] and is buried at the River Street Cemetery in Woodstock, Vermont. [2]
