Biography

Olive Parent was born 7 Jan 1809, the daughter of Solomon Parent and Abigail Saunders of Bear Island, NB[1]

On September 3, 1829, she m. Peter Christie, the son of Jesse Christie and Esther Burpee, who settled in Keswick, New Brunswick[2] [3] [1]. they settled in Bright Parish and had three children, including[4]

  1. Jeremiah, born 1830, who married Barbara Sheridan
  2. John Tennant, born 1837, who married Katherine MacFarlane
  3. one other

Residence Relation to Head of House: Wife. 1851 York County, New Brunswick, Canada. [5]


She died 7 Apr 1878[6], and is buried in the Pickard-Merrithew Cemetery in Keswick.
