I was born in London to Irish parents. I grew up in Harrow, north London, the eldest of seven children. I was a teacher in London and in Italy, before becoming a journalist, first in Dublin, and then with the BBC in Belfast.
I am now retired, and living in Quebec, in a small village in the Eastern Townships.
I have done quite a lot of research into my ancestors on both sides of the family, and I am very keen to share what I know, and to connect with people who may be able to provide additional information.

I volunteered, added tags and comments, but they weren’t accepted. I tried again ,same result. It’s clear that I don’t fully understand what’s required here.
Just a friendly.... did you click on the "save your changes" after you added your tags?
