Hi Cousin,

Thank you so much. I am slowly working my way back on the family tree, adding people, details, and sources as I go.

Hi Charles,

This is a courtesy email to share the After Adopting Orphans FAQ which explains the special attention adopted profiles will sometimes need from their profile managers. One quick way to find the profiles you adopted is by searching your Contributions List for the words "adopted" and "manager." You can find a quick link to your Contributions List in the My WikiTree dropdown menu.

Let me know if you have any questions,

Hello, Charles!

Congratulations on certifying to work on pre-1700 profiles! It’s very important to read and understand the Help:Pre-1700 Profiles page.

Primary sources should always be added to pre-1700 profiles at the time they are created. If you don't have a source for a pre-1700 profile, it would be best to ask for help in the G2G forum before creating the profile.

These profiles for deep ancestors are shared by many, and collaborating on them works best if we all follow the guidelines in the certification quiz.

Kind regards,

Pippin Sheppard – WikiTree Greeter

Hello Charles,

We are so happy you have upgraded to the Family Member level.

Please visit our tutorial pages to learn how to use WikiTree: How To Use WikiTree. They will save you time, energy, and frustration as you add your family profiles.

Exploring the site is the best way to learn. One way to do that is to check out the drop-down menus on the top right side of your profile page. Finding a known ancestor and collaborating with the profile manager is another great way to start.

Questions? You can always use the G2G link in the Help Menu to find answers.

Hi Charles,

I'm sure that the profile managers of Miotoka (Nyeswanan) Schoolcraft will see your note. If you would add another comment with some sources, it would help others assess the evidence.

You're welcome to use our profile database and Genealogist to Genealogist (G2G) forum for research. If you are interested in collaborating on the Schoolcraft family and contributing to our shared tree, then you should upgrade. There is a link under your name, next to Guest Member on your profile to Upgrade

If you choose to upgrade and you have information and sources to help improve the profile, your collaboration with the profile manager would go a long way in making improvements. If this is your ancestor, you will be able to connect the profile to your branch of the tree. With your help, we can improve the story of your ancestors.

If you have any questions about how WikiTree works, let us know by using the "reply" link under our comments on your profile or by clicking our names to visit our profiles. From there you can leave a comment or send a private message.
