There appear to be two Hiram Ostroms who lived in Canada in the early 1800's. One, H.B. Ostrom was married to Lydia Hover/Hoover born 1813, Quebec. His family is listed on this profile. They had children: Thomas, born 1838, Canada East, Hulda Anne, born 1841, Canada East, Caroline Matilda, born 1844, Port Stanley, Charles A. born 1846, Rondeau, Joeluski, born 1848, Howard, and Richard H born 1854, Morpeth. The other, Hiram Ostrom, married Lavina Precore (Valley?) born 1815, at Sea, of French parents. Lavina Precore (1815-1907),They had children: Hiram B. Ostrom (1833-1904), born Upper Canada,, Harry James, born 1838, Canada, and Annie M., born 1843, Canada. No Canadian record has been found for this couple. It is not clear which Hiram is the son of Peter Ostrom and Alida Pawling.
