Biography

Charles Henry Osmond was born in 1857.

In 1882, he married Phoebe Jervis. ^[1]

Osmond—Jervis.—On November 29, at St. Sepulchre's Church, by the Rev. Joseph Bates, Charles Henry Osmond, of St. David's, Exeter, to Phoebe Jessie, second daughter of H. M. Jervis, Esq., of Auckland.^[2]

In 1920-21, during which time he resided in Wellington and his wife in Auckland, he was named as the co-respondent in the divorce case of Ethel Maslin, a married woman who worked for him in his stamp shop.

In 1926, he divorced his wife and married Ethel Maslin. ^{[3] [4]}

He passed away in 1937. ^[5] He is buried in Waikaraka cemetery. ^[6]
