Biography
Elizabeth Ann Onthong was born on 3 July 1862 in Avoca, Victoria, to Thomas Onthong and Bridget Onthong nee Fogarty.[1] The family later went by the surname Cook.
In 1881 Elizabeth had a child, Frederick Harold Plowright (abt.1881-1929), with James Henry Plowright. She took him to court[2] but the matter was settled[3] and James's parents adopted the baby.
Elizabeth married John Wiffen on 18 April 1888 in Daylesford, Victoria.[4]
She died on 30 December 1927 in St Kilda, Victoria, at the age of 65.[5]
