Elizabeth was born in about 1540 in Sutton, Cheshire, England, the daughter of John Oldfield.[1] She married Lawrence Swettenham in about 1566 in Sutton. She was mentioned in her husband’s will,[2] which was dated 9 April 1592.
She died 1609 probably at her residence of Hurdsfield near Macclesfield, Cheshire. Her son, Edmund, completed an inventory of her holdings in August of that year.[3]
