John was born about 1524 (extrapolated from birth oldest grandchild in 1566). He married Alice ----, who died after 17 Apr. 1576, when mentioned in her husband's will.[1]
His will was dated 17 Apr. 1576, recorded 4 Oct.[2]
John was probably the son of Richard and Janet Ogden of Haworth. Richard's will was recorded on 13 June 1533.[3]
