Warren was born in New York, USA^[1] on August 29, 1827.^[2]

He married Clarissa Hicks. Their children were:

• Emily Oatman, born about 1851^[3]
• Alma Florilla Oatman, born about 1854^[4]
• Arthur Monroe Oatman, born about 1862^[5][6]
• Clara Amelia Oatman, born on 19 Apr 1870.^[7]

Their family lived in Norwich, Oxford County, Canada West (Ontario) where Warren worked as a shoemaker.^{[8][1][9][10][11][12][13]}

Warren died on 15 August 1895 in South Norwich Township, Oxford, Ontario^[14] and was buried in the Springford Cemetery.^[2]

His father may be: George Oatman.

Some trees have his parents as George Truman Oatman and Orra Perry. This seems incorrect since George Truman Oatman died in 1843 and there is a George Oatman, living with Warren in 1861 (probably Warren's father).

George's date of birth, death and name of his wife are unknown.

Although George is not listed in the 1851 census of South Norwich, he is living there in 1861 with his son Warren and his family.

Looking for more info before adding George Oatman.

In the Marriage record of daughter, Emily Oatman, his name was recorded as: Ward Oatman. Daughter, Emily appears in the 1851 and 1861 census with her parents.
