Irene Lily Mary O'Flaherty was born in 1888 in Islington, London, England, United Kingdom, daughter of Thomas O'Flaherty (1858–1924) and Elizabeth O'Flaherty (1859–). ^[1]

Irene (24) married George Wormald Walker (24) (born in 1888 in Leeds, Yorkshire, England) on October 16, 1913 in Barnet, Hertfordshire, England.^[2]

It appears that Irene immigrated to New Zealand with her husband, George, however, they must have divorced before 1930 as she then married Ivan Charles Spencer using her maiden name, O'Flaherty.^[3]

Irene died in 1943 in Wellington, New Zealand, aged 54.^[4]
