Biography

Eileen was born in January 1937 in Glencurragh, Skibbereen, County Cork, Ireland. She was the daughter of Daniel O'Driscoll and Agnes (Donovan) O'Driscoll. She was named after her maternal grandmother, Ellen (Crowley) Donovan, but was known in the family as Eileen.

Eileen lived with her parents, grandmother, and siblings, Ann and John, in Glencurragh.

Eileen died aged 9 years in 1946. Her death record stated that she died at home and whe was listed as Ellen Philomena O'Driscoll, 9 years old, Engine Driver's daughter. The cause of death was listed as Convulsions, Gastro-intestinal, Cardiac Failure, Certified. The informant was listed as Agnes O'Driscoll, Mother^[1].

Eileen was buried alongside her grandfather, Jerry Donovan, in the old graveyard at Abbeystrowery, Skibbereen, County Cork, Ireland.
