Amy (Nunweek) Smith was born in Yorkshire, England.

Amy was born in Keighley, Yorkshire, England, on July 2, 1887. [1] She was the daughter of Tom Nunweek and Mary Walton. She was baptized on July 31, 1887, in Keighley at St Mary Eastwood.[2] The Parish Register listed her date of birth as July 2, 1887, her parents as Tom and Mary residing in Eastwood (Keighley), and her father's occupation "Mechanic". She was enumerated in the 1891 census [3] as a three year old residing with her parents and two siblings at Wellfield House, Keighley. In 1901, [4] she was living with her parents and brother Herbert in the household of maternal grandmother Amy Walton, 1 Westbourne Place, Bradford. Her mother passed away in 1901. Amy appeared in the 1911 census [5] residing with her widowed father at 12 Avonview Lee, Thwaites Brow, Keighley. She was twenty three, single, and declared no occupation.

Amy married Arthur Smith in 1917.[6] The ceremony was performed on May 26th in Keighley at St Mary Eastwood. The Parish Register listed Amy as a twenty nine year old spinster residing at Aireview Terrace, Thwaites Brow (Keighley). Her father was named as Tom Nunweek "Mechanic". Arthur was a thirty four year old bachelor and "Pattern Maker" residing at Moss Carr Terrace, Long Lee (Keighley). His father was named as William Smith (deceased) "Mechanic". The witnesses were Moses Nunweek and John James Nunweek. [7] It appears the couple had at least three children. Amy and Arthur appeared in the 1939 Register [8] residing at 12 Low Spring Road, Keighley. Her occupation "Unpaid Domestic Duties". (Note...three redacted entries at residence).

Arthur passed away in 1945. Amy passed away om December 27, 1967. [9] Her residence at time of death was Flat 6, Castle Court, Keighley. Her Probate was administered on January 25, 1968 in Oxford. No beneficiaries noted.[10]
