Please accept my apology in advance. Currently it may take me awhile to respond to private messages or merge requests. While I love history, I also love the present. I try to respond to everyone though.
Many genealogies posted online and in books are unsourced and may be incorrect. These are my attempts at finding sources. While DNA testing can be useful, connections are usually based on paper trail family trees. If everyone has the same unsourced family tree, the common shared ancestors may be incorrect.
Featured German connections: Randy is 22 degrees from Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, 25 degrees from Dietrich Bonhoeffer, 22 degrees from Lucas Cranach, 25 degrees from Stefanie Graf, 27 degrees from Wilhelm Grimm, 24 degrees from Fanny Hensel, 24 degrees from Theodor Heuss, 18 degrees from Alexander Mack, 34 degrees from Carl Miele, 20 degrees from Nathan Rothschild, 24 degrees from Hermann Friedrich Albert von Ihering and 24 degrees from Ferdinand von Zeppelin on our single family tree. I noticed a lot of unlisted profiles being managed by you. You may want to review your watchlist and add some death dates so that you can share those profiles.

Congratulations, you have been a WikiTree member for one month! Here are a few ways to dive in even deeper:
Let me know if I can be of help. (If links don't work in email, check your profile page.)
Carole Partridge, WikiTree Mentor
Thank you for joining WikiTree. As a WikiTree Mentor I am available to answer any questions or help solve any issues you may be having.
I hope you're enjoying our site. Our primary vision is to build a collaborative tree with just one profile per person, so please make sure to look for duplicates on WikiTree before adding a profile. Having dates and locations attached to every person assists in our mission as well!
Feel free to check out How To Use WikiTree. It's a great step-by-step guide to get you started.
We also have our Help Index with links to topics you may have questions on. Don't forget our G2G Forum where many of our generous members help each other out.
And of course I'm here to help, just ask!
Alison ~ WikiTree Mentor
Thank you for volunteering to help grow our World Wide Family Tree.
You are now a member of the WikiTree Community. Please note we are trying to build one Collaborative Tree which means one profile per person. It is important to ensure no duplicates are entered as you add any Profiles to WikiTree.
Everything on WikiTree is a collaborative work in progress so dont forget to read and sign our Honor Code. This is what keeps WikiTree a friendly and helpful community. Please feel free to ask if you have any questions.
Happy Hunting,
Jess
Welcome to WikiTree!
We're growing a FREE worldwide family tree, striving for ONE collaborative profile for every person.
A couple suggestions to get you started:
Our Honor Code is a very important part of why our community is such a friendly place to grow your family tree so please take some time to read it.
Feel free to ask a question at our G2G forum, found in the upper right of the screen, under the My WikiTree tab.
Our help pages, also top right, have all sorts of useful information.
If you would like to contribute by adding information, click the volunteer button and leave a comment here on your profile to let our greeters know.
You should include a little bit about how you plan to contribute to the tree.
Happy Hunting,
Jess
