Biography

William was born in 1881. He is the son of James Nicol and Mannilla Colledge.

On Jan. 26, 1903 he became a naturalized US citizen.^[1]

He married Ellen Carr on June 17, 1907 in Providence Rhode Island.^[2]

Research Notes

Between records there seems to be some confusion on his birth date. One of his draft registrations reads April 7, 1881 while the other reads April 5, 1881. His naturalization record also reads April 5, 1881.

I have also been unable to locate his birth certificate in Scotland. But as his birthdate stands I am suspecting he is the twin of James, but I have no proof of this yet.
