Military Service
He joined the US Army during World War II. He was a D-Day survivor and held the rank of Staff Sergeant. He served as a Squad Leader with Company C, First Battalion, 12th Infantry in the European African Middle Eastern Theater. [8]
Marriage
He married Charlotte Louise Taylor, daughter of Norman Howard Taylor and Bessie Lillie Briggs, on April 6, 1945 in Providence, Rhode Island.
He passed away on March 18, 2018 in Johnston, Rhode Island. He is buried in Highland Memorial Park in Johnston, Rhode Island along with his first wife, Charlotte. [9]
