Christian was born in 1786 in Kilby, Leicestershire and baptised there on 12 Mar 1786, the daughter of John and Christian Needham [1].
In the 1841 census, Christean (age '50'), farmer, was on Back Street, Shearsby, Leicestershire [2]. She lived with her daughter, Ann ('20') and Alice Clarke ('15'). Her immediate neighbours were John Goode and Thomas Gamble.
In 1851 she was living in Back Lane, Shearsby with her son Thomas, and servants Daniel Dixey and Sarah A. Martin[3].
In the 1861 census, Christian (age 75), farmer's widow, was the head of household on The Back Lane, Shearsby [4][5]. In the 1861 Commercial Directory of Leicestershire she was listed as living in Shearsby [6].
She passed away on 30 January 1871 and was buried in the churchyard in Shearsby [7][8].
