Biography

Mary Rose Needham (married name Chapman) was born in 1852 in South Somercotes, Lincolnshire, England, the daughter of William Needham and Mary Ann Needham.^{[1][2][3][4][5][6][7]}

She was baptised on 29 August 1852 in South Somercotes.^[2]

She married John Chapman in 1873 in Louth, Lincolnshire, England.^[8][9] Their children were:

• John William Chapman (1874?–?)^[5]
• Henry Chapman (1877–?)^[5]
• Mary Ann Chapman (1878–1940)^[5][6]
• George Chapman (1882?–1957)^[6][7]
• Edith Rose Chapman (1884–1956?)^[6][7]

At the time of the 1881, 1891, 1901 and 1911 England censuses, John and Mary were living in Saltfleetby St Peter, Lincolnshire.^{[5][6][7][10]}

By the time of the 1911 Census, all their children had moved out and John and Mary were employing a servant, Fred Baker.^[10]

Mary died on 11 March 1941 at Saltfleetby.^[11]
