Thank you. I'm slowly gathering my family members to help me with my tree.

This is cool.

Hi, Erica

Congratulations on certifying to work on pre-1700 profiles! It’s very important to read and understand the Pre-1700 Profiles page. These profiles for deep ancestors are shared by many, and collaborating on them works best if we all follow the guidelines in the certification quiz.

Primary sources should always be added to pre-1700 profiles at the time they are created. If you don't have a source for a pre-1700 profile, it would be best to ask for help in the G2G forum before creating the profile.

Erica, you are all set as a confirmed member of WikiTree now. I hope you discover as much about your family as I have about mine over the last several years.

Check out the New Member How-to pages for some quick tips on working with both the Wiki pages and our other members. There is some great information in those pages.

If you have questions about how WikiTree works, let me know. You can use the "reply" link under this comment or click my name, then ask in the comment section of my page.

P.S. If links do not work in an email from WikiTree, try them from the comment section on your profile page.

Hi Erica

Thank you for volunteering. Before I can confirm your membership, I’ll need you to explain a little about your Tags, just so that I can be sure you will get the best from them. I don’t know what the MRCA-SAG-LAC project is. What is the additional information you included under Nathan and Trembley?

Tags become clickable links to others researching those names or places, so it’s important to ensure other collaborators will understand the relevance.

Many thanks

Wendy ~ WikiTree Greeter

PS If you ever get a "Page Not Found" error when you click a link in a WikiTree email, you can usually find a functioning link in the public comments section of your profile page

I will fix it!! I thought it was just something of interest I put there.

Hi Erica, it is both something of interest and a way of connecting with other collaborators. WikiTree is all about collaboration and helping each other get profiles as accurate as possible. The other important aspect is providing sources for what you record. I had a look at your grandmother and FamilySearch.org has lots of records which you could use as sources. For example
  • Find A Grave, database and images (https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/54737417 : accessed 20 February 2020), memorial page for Mrs Frieda Emma Williams Nathan (22 Sep 1920–22 Oct 2005), Find A Grave Memorial no. 54737417, citing Metlakatla Cemetery, Ketchikan, Ketchikan Gateway Borough, Alaska, USA ; Maintained by Genevieve Nathan (contributor 47066437) .
  • "United States Social Security Death Index," database, FamilySearch (https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:JT69-1PX : 20 May 2014), Frieda E Nathan, 22 Oct 2005; citing U.S. Social Security Administration, Death Master File, database (Alexandria, Virginia: National Technical Information Service, ongoing).
  • "United States Census, 1930," database with images, FamilySearch (https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:XHBK-BLF : accessed 20 February 2020), Freida Williams in household of Gordon Williams, Ketchikan, First Judicial District, Alaska, United States; citing enumeration district (ED) ED 9, sheet 5A, line 21, family 39, NARA microfilm publication T626 (Washington D.C.: National Archives and Records Administration, 2002), roll 2626; FHL microfilm 2,342,360.

I would have added these, but you have the privacy settings on her profile set so others cannot edit. If you set profiles for deceased people to open, others can add sources.

WikiTree takes a little getting used to, but it will be well worth it to leave a well documented profile of your ancestors to future generations.

All the best Wendy

I just noticed this! Very nice. Thank you!
