Biography
Alice was born in 1867 at Wandsworth, Surrey, England to John Nash and Caroline Batcock.[1] She was baptised on 10 February 1867 at St Anne church in Wandsworth.[2]
In 1871 Alice was 4 years old and living with her parents in Wandsworth, All Saints, London.[3]

She married Arthur Edward Cobby in September 1889 at Wandsworth, Surrey, England.[4]
Alice (Nash) Cobby migrated from England to Victoria.
In October 1889 they boarded the "Orient" at Plymouth and arrived at Melbourne, Victoria on 20 December 1889.[5]
Four of their five sons attained adulthood, all serving in the Australian defence forces either in the First or Second World War; or both. Their son, Harry, was a fighter pilot ace during the First World War.
In 1919 they were living in Rosedale Avenue, Glen Huntley, Victoria.[6]
She passed away on 29 August 1948 at age 82 in Elsternwick, Victoria.[7][8] At the time of her death she was living at 19 Murray-street, Elsternwlck, she had previously lived at 63 New-street, Brighton.[9]
Alice's ashes were placed at Springvale Botanical Cemetery, Springvale, Victoria.[10]
