Charles Joseph Mury was born in 1817 in Edgard, St. John the Baptist Parish, Louisiana, United States, son of Victor Mury (1784–1834) and Suzanne Eleanor (Remondet) Mury (abt. 1801–1831).[1]
Charles (26) married Marie Elisabeth (Steib) Mury (23) (born on 20 Oct 1820 in St. John the Baptist Parish; daughter of Francois Steib and Catherine Desiree (Becnel) Steib) on 5 Jun 1844 in St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Edgard, St. John the Baptist. Their known children were:
- Josephine Desiree (Mury) Falgoust (1842–1901)
- Elodie (Mury) Leroux (1849–aft. 1900)
- Norbert Frederick Mury (1854–1928)
- Clarisse Marie (Mury) Falgoust (1863–1906)
