Biography

Ann was born in about 1789 in either Lewknor or Wheatley (see research notes).

Ann married John Munt on 28 May 1817 in Cuddesdon, Oxford, England. Munt was therefore both her maiden and her married surname. ^[1]

In the 1851 and 1861 census Ann was the wife of John Munt in Wheatley, Oxfordshire, England. Her husband was an agricultural labourer. ^{[2] [3]}

Ann died in 1871 and was buried on 4 April 1871 in Wheatley, Oxfordshire, England.^[4]

Research notes

The 1851 census states that Ann was born in Lewknor but on the 1861 census there are ditto marks indicating that her birthplace is the same as her husband's (i.e. Wheatley). Presumably this may be an error on the 1861 census. There is an Ann Munt baptised in Lewknor on 15 Aug 1789 (daughter of Job and Sarah) which would seem to be a good fit.
