George Rodney Mundy, son of Godfrey Mundy and his wife, Sarah Rodney was born on the 19th of April 1805. [1] He was educated at the Royal Navy College joining on the 5th of February 1818 and was posted in December 1819 to the 46 gun HMS Phaeton, Captain William Augustus Montagu, as a volunteer. [2]
In 1841 he was ashore, living with his parents at 1 Hobart Place, St George Hanover Sq. [3]
George died unmarried on the 23rd of December 1884. [4][5] His death was registered at St George Hanover Sq. [6]
