Biography

Born August 25, 1951 in the Pottstown Memorial Hospital in Pottstown, PA. I was brought home to the farm of my grandfather Mahlon Weller Moyer. My father Earl and mother Mildred (Snyder) Moyer lived in 1/2 of a farm house with my sister Sharon Lee and brother Ronald Earl. My paternal grandfather Mahlon (widowed and divorced) and maternal grandmother Laura (Simmons) Snyder (widowed) lived in the other 1/2 of the farm house. Was father was a carpenter and my mother worked at Tung Sol in Boyertown.

When I was in Junior high school, we moved to 1104 Montgomery Avenue, which was a building lot that was purchased from my grandfather, and was previously part of his farm. My father built the foundation of the house. My brother Ron assisted. I remember when the family got together to raise the framed walls of the first floor.

I attended Colebrookdale Township Elementry school, which was located across the street from the Moyer farm. I graduated from Boyertown Area Senior High School in 1969. I married Chester Wisniewski the 21st day of June, 1969. We were married at the St. Andrews Methodist Church New Berlinville, PA from Reverend Kenneth Kline. Our son Douglas Kirk was born 10 December 1969 at Pottstown Hosptial. He was baptized at St. Andrews Methodist Church. Our daughter Susan Evelyn was born 21 March 1972 in the Naval Hospital in Charleston, SC.
