Biography
Ella Hughes Motes was born on February 21, 1875, in Selma, Alabama. She married Oliver Monroe Lewis on February 5, 1893, in Caddo, Louisiana. They had seven children in 20 years. She died on April 8, 1958, in Houston, Texas, at the age of 83, and was buried in Kingston, Oklahoma.
