Biography

Barbara Maria Browne-Mostyn was the daughter of Charles Mostyn and Mary Butler.

Barbara married Carl Baron von Korber on 6 October 1825 at Church of San Fedele, Milan, Italy.

Barbara married Frederick Slade on 23 December 1833.

At the time of the 1841 England and Wales Census, Frederick, Barbara, Maria, Harriett, Caroline, Alfred, and Charles Slade (along with a female infant, probably Florence) were listed as living in St Luke Chelsea, Middlesex, along with six other people^[1].

At the time of the 1861 Census of England and Wales, Barbara M and Harry Slade were listed as living in Broadwater, Sussex in the household of Barbara's daughter Harriett G Staniforth and her husband John Staniforth, along with John and Harriett's daughter Edith M B Stnaiforth and three servants^[2]. The census record includes the note: "Wife Of Sir F Slade, Bart".

Barbara died on 15 April 1885. Her death was registered in Steyning, Sussex in the second quarter of 1885^[3].
