Lealon was born in 1933. He was the son of Harding Mosher and Blanche Sawler. He passed away in 2023. [1]
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Lealon (Jiggy) Mosher, age 89, on January 24, 2023 in Fisherman’s Memorial Hospital in Lunenburg. Born in Robinsons Corner, on February 26, 1933, he was the son of Harden and Blanche (Sawler) Mosher. Jiggy was one of 12 children, and was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Jiggy had a green thumb and took great pride in his vegetable gardens. He was happiest when he was enjoying a game of cards or puttering around in his yard and his basement. His grandchildren brought him great joy in his senior years. Lealon is survived by his daughter, Kelly and son-in-law, Brent Crooks of Chester; and grandchildren, Emily and Parker Crooks, Chester. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Joyce (Graves); his parents; brothers, Morris, John, Donald, and Roy; sisters, Rhema, Marjorie, Edith, Myrtle, Pearl, Mary and Joyce; and many sisters and brothers-in-law. At Lealon’s request, there will be no visitation. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, January 29th in St. Peter’s Lutheran Cemetery, Chester, Pastor Virginia Cookman will officiate. Memorial donations may be made to St. Peter’s Lutheran Church Cemetery Fund.
