When Lottie Florence Mosby was born on 21 April 1880, in Richmond, Virginia, United States, her father, John Stout Mosby, was 58 and her mother, Cenora Coates Manley, was 31.[1]
She married Emmett McDonald Alley on 24 September 1901, in Henrico, Virginia, United States.[2]

She died on 23 August 1963, in Richmond, Virginia, United States, at the age of 83,[9] and was buried in Forest Lawn Cemetery and Mausoleum, Henrico, Virginia, United States.[10]
