William E. Morse, Wassaic, who would have been 69 years old on February 28, died suddenly of a heart attack while at work at the Wassaic State School on Tuesday.

Born in Wappingers Falls on 28 February 1891, Willie was the son of the late Edmond and Mary Sandells Morse. He had worked at the state school for 20 years. Prior to that time, Willie had been employed at the Dutchess County Sheriff's office for nine years.

Willie was married to Miss Rachel Frances Ott in 1915. In addition to Rachel, he is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Helen (Antonio) Iannone, Beacon and two sons, Raymond and Louis Morse of Wassaic. He is also survived by five grandchildren.

His FaG and Birth Cert/Draft Registration disagree re: Birthyear…. FaG-1891 vs govt docs-1893. Also day of death varies by 1 day…

Birth certificate state’s birth year is 1893. The 1900 Census shows him as 7 yrs old. But the FaG has birth year at 1891. Went w/ the docs this time (too large of a discrepancy- will cause warp in the the spacing w/ other kids)
