The Mary that is currently attached as a child of Charles Morris 1711 https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Morris-27787, is NOT the one married to Joseph Scott in Nova Scotia. So either it is the wrong one, or there were two daughters name Mary! I created a profile for Mary as Mary (Morris) Scott (abt.1730-abt.1765)

The only information I really have for Marry (Morris) Scott is her reference on the large plaque at the Scott Manor Museum, in Bedford, Nova Scotia that indicates her father was Charles Morris. See Joseph at Joseph Scott (1724-1800).

Hi Rob,

thanks for your comment. I did not add Mary as a daughter of Charles Morris, someone else did. I am confused though, because I notice on her gravestone the inscription 'daughter of the Honourable, Charles Morris Esq. of Halifax'. Why do you think the Mary Morris who married Joseph Scott is Charles Morris's daughter?

This phrase "In 1750, Joseph Scott married Mary Morris (the daughter of Charles Morris). Mary and their 4 children all died within the next 12 years." is part of a large outdoor plaque on display at the Scott Manor House Museum in Bedford, Nova Scotia. The full context can be seen in the Reference comments of

https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Scott-46535. I will be reaching out to the museum to verify the source of their information.
