Joseph Carroll Moran was born on May 21, 1928 in St. Louis, Missouri, United States, son of James Joseph Moran (1878–1947) and Carol Case Chapman (1889–1974).
Joe (23) married Margaret Jane McLain (20) (born on July 6, 1930 in St. Louis, MO; daughter of Hugh Russel McLain and Emma Iona (Robbins) Thomas) on June 30, 1951 in St. Luke's Catholic Church, St. Louis. Their children were:
- Patrick Michael Moran (1954–1998)
- Pamela Michelle Moran (1957–2015)
- Martin Paul Moran (1960–2015)
Joe died on December 6, 1985 in Roanoke, Virginia, United States, aged 57.[1]
