Biography

Maria was born about 1833. She was the daughter of William and Mary Anne Moore.

She was baptised on 31 December 1833 at Sporle, And Palgrave, Norfolk^[1]. Her father was a Farmers Stewart of Sporle.

In the UK Census of 1851 Maria (aged 17) was recorded living with her parents William (54), her mother Mary Ann (53) and three siblings William (19), Eliza (12) and Ann (11) at Narford Farm, Narford, Swaffham, Norfolk, England. Also in the household were three other individuals.

She married Edward Land in 1858 in Norfolk^[2].

They had at least one daughter.
