Elizabeth died in July 1800, in childbirth with Lucy. He married for a 2nd time, on 27 Oct 1801, in Northumberland, Virginia, to Sally Gordon. They had no known children.
Sally died in 1808. He married a third time on 19 Oct 1808, to Elizabeth Glasscock. They had no known children. She died sometime around 1819.
From 1804 until 1810 Joseph Jones was Clerk of the District & Circuit Court as shown by a tablet on the wall of the Northumberland County (Va.) Court House.
He served as a Private during the War of 1812, in the 41st Regiment (Bramham's) Virginia Militia[1].
He moved to Howard County, Missouri. in 1821.
He would marry again, on 19 July 1821 to Huldah Hubbard. They had one known child.

He died in 1824, in Howard County, Missouri. His burial location is unknown.
